Foot Energy is a
Program

Foot Energy Process:

Conduct an Employee Survey
The quick online survey is completed by employees to discover barriers to walking and biking. Each employee who completes the survey receives a Personalized Active Transportation Plan.

Conduct a Walking Audit
The walking audit helps see if the worksite is accessible by pedestrians and bicyclists and if amenities such as bike racks and showers exist.

Make it safer to walk and bike
Changes are made to increase the number of people walking and biking. Do you need a locker room? A bike rack? Trainings about bike safety?

Help employees make the switch:
Smart Commute Day Employees are encouraged to participate in Smart Commute Day to try to bike or walk part or all of the way to work. Trainings are also provided to help learn about safety and tips for using walking and biking for transportation.
