Walking Around Jackson
Walking School Bus
Program (Adults Needed!)
Do you like to walk? We need walking school
bus leaders for the spring!
Sign-up today
Walking to school is a great way to get more physical activity, but less and
less children walk to school today. Walking school buses are lead by an
adult (teacher, parent, college student, senior) who walks with a group of
children to school making sure they arrive safely. Call Kristin Hendricks at
990-9798.
STEPZ Program
STEPZ is a walking program developed by the Foundation for a Healthy
Community in partnership with Foote Health System. The STEPZ program is
designed to help people to increase their exercise on a regular basis.
Taking part in a walking program can help you improve health, manage weight,
reduce stress, and much more. The STEPZ program has been developed for
adults, youth, seniors, and those with chronic disease.
These programs have been approved by area physicians.
