The Fitness Council has a variety of programs
working to make it easier for Jacksonians to be physically active. The Physical Educators' Network and
EPEC curriculum are helping Jackson County physical education teachers more
effectively help students learn life-long fitness activities. Project U-Turn, lead by the Walkable
Communities Task Force and Student Coalition for Walkable Communities, has
been working hard to create a community where it is easy and safe to walk
and bike for short trips. Find out more about each program below!
