The Jackson Transit Authority and Project U-Turn are working together on the Cool Bus Route in a continued effort to gain youth ideas and promote Public Transit. The goal of the Cool Bus Route will be a redesigned bus interior and exterior and a special evening route to popular youth destinations. The Cool Bus Route not only addresses the transportation needs of youth in the community, but gives youth a chance to create a bus that is cool, fun, and safe on the inside and outside as well.

Join the Student Coalition!

Cool Bus Model
Recently the Student Coalition created a scale model of the Cool Bus with ideas from local middle and high schoolers. They are using the model bus in presentations throughout the community to collect more ideas about what a Cool Bus should look like and where it should travel. The Student Coalition has talked to 120 youth so far, but we are always looking for new and creative ideas.
